MSS integrates OpenHousing with Sharepoint
Black Country Housing Group is a social business investing in people and communities, with over 2,100 homes across the Black Country and Birmingham and two Residential Care Homes.
Manifest Software Solutions (MSS) was appointed by Black Country Housing Group to help move their files from an on-premise Documotive server into SharePoint. This was to resolve several issues, as running this internal system meant it was difficult to access information.
Working with BlackLight, a SharePoint consultancy, MSS helped to move the documents from Documotive into SharePoint, using the Universal Adapter to synchronize data held in the Capita OpenHousing solution.
Results
This was the first time MSS has integrated OpenHousing to SharePoint, so we enjoyed this challenge.
Maximum leverage from SharePoint has been gained and all the information once contained in Documotive is now in SharePoint.
OpenHousing data automatically updates SharePoint via the MSS Universal Adapter so that SharePoint is always up to date. This means when a new resident is created in the housing management system, this automatically updates into SharePoint with no manual intervention.
All documents are now correctly indexed on SharePoint, making them easy to access by the group’s employees. By removing manual processes and integrating different systems, significant time savings have been made and reduced manual intervention reduces the risk of mistakes.

Prodo Self-Service Housing
Working with Black Country Housing Group, Manifest Software Solutions (MSS) implemented real time integration between Cloud Dialogues and Prodo, a self-service portal. MSS also integrated Prodo with Capita Open Housing to provide customers with 24×7 real-time access to information and services.
The housing association originally used a Customer Web Portal within its housing management system but engaged Prodo to build a new website and portal to increase functionality. Following MSS’s integration, residents can now check their details, view their rent statements, log repairs, book appointments and contact their housing officer.

Automating housing benefits
Working with Black Country Housing Group, Manifest Software Solutions automated their housing benefits, meaning the housing association no longer had to manually import them.
